Esha Gupta Finally Spills the Truth About Hardik Pandya

Esha Gupta has finally addressed the long-standing rumours surrounding her connection with Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya. In a candid chat with Siddharth Kannan, the Raaz 3 actress opened up about the nature of their relationship, clarifying that while they were in touch for a short period, it never developed into anything serious.

“Yeah, for some time we were talking. I don’t think we were dating, but yeah, we were talking for a couple of months,” Esha said. “We were at that ‘maybe it will happen, maybe it won’t’ stage. It ended before we even reached the dating stage. So it wasn’t dating-dating. We met once or twice, that’s it.”

When asked whether there was a real possibility of a relationship, Esha admitted that it “maybe could have happened,” but circumstances led to a quick end. Timing and compatibility didn’t align, she noted. “There was no drama or bitterness,” she added. “It just wasn’t meant to be.”

Esha also addressed the time when Hardik Pandya landed in controversy over his controversial remarks on Koffee With Karan. While many were quick to criticise the cricketer for the misogynistic tone of the episode, Esha said she remained unaffected, as they were no longer in contact. “That part didn’t affect me, because we had already stopped talking by then,” she said.

Interestingly, when the infamous episode aired in 2019, Esha Gupta was one of the few celebrities who publicly slammed its tone, though she now shares that she didn’t feel the need to add to the criticism. “They were already going through enough. What good would it do if I jumped in with more criticism?” she said, adding that she has since matured emotionally and avoids dwelling on the past.

Speaking about why their bond didn’t evolve further, Esha said that she values grounded, low-key relationships—something that might not have been compatible with Pandya’s highly public lifestyle. She explained that while there was mutual curiosity, the connection lacked the depth she seeks in her personal life.

Esha Gupta was last seen in Ek Badnaam Aashram 3 Part 2 opposite Bobby Deol and also portrayed DCP Laxmi Rathi in One Day: Justice Delivered. Reports suggest she may be part of the much-anticipated Hera Pheri 3, although no official confirmation has been made yet.
