Hamirpur-Vrindaban HRTC Bus Accident: 34 injured in bus accident in Himachal’s Hamirpur

A total of 34 individuals were injured in a recent accident involving a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus near Bhota, Himachal Pradesh. The mishap occurred at Tiale Da Ghat, approximately 16 km from Hamirpur, on Saturday night.

Eyewitnesses reported that the accident was triggered when a car attempted to overtake the bus on a sharp turn near Tiale Da Ghat. In an effort to avoid a collision with the car, the bus driver veered left and collided with a hillside, resulting in the accident.

The HRTC bus, bound for Hamirpur-Vrindaban and carrying around 50 passengers, saw nine individuals sustain serious injuries, including the driver. They are currently receiving treatment at Hamirpur Medical College, where the driver had to be extricated from the bus by cutting the steering wheel.

Additionally, 25 injured passengers were taken to Bhota Hospital in Hamirpur district for medical attention.

Upon arrival at the scene, a police team led by ASI Rajesh Kumar initiated relief and rescue operations with assistance from the local business community. A case has been registered in connection with the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
