There is some great news for Indian travelers who love exotic beaches and nature. Thailand has waived the visa fee on arrival for tourists from 21 countries which also includes India.
The Thai government will waive the 2,000-baht fee for visa on arrival scheme for visitors staying in the Southeast Asian nation for 15 days or less in an attempt to boost tourism.
Tourists from these 21 countries are entitled to apply for a Visa on Arrival at 48 designated immigration checkpoints. This visa would allow tourists to enter the country and stay for a maximum of 15 days.
Reports said that this exemption is expected to increase foreign arrivals to nearly 40 million and the revenue from tourism accounts for 20 percent of Thailand’s GDP.
This is a very good news for Indians who wish to visit Thailand. It has long been a very popular destination for long because of its natural beauty and low cost of stay.
