The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the SSC Stenographer Exam 2024, inviting applications to fill 2006 vacancies for Grade C and Grade D stenographers. Interested candidates can apply through SSC’s official website for the SSC Steno post, with the application deadline set for August 17.

Selection Process For SSC Steno Jobs: The recruitment process includes a computer-based examination (CBE) followed by a skill test in stenography. The CBE comprises sections on General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and English Language and Comprehension. It features a negative marking of 0.25 for every incorrect answer. The exam duration is two hours, and the questions will be available in both Hindi and English.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Class 12 examination from a recognized board.
- Age Limit:
- Grade C: 18 to 30 years (born between August 2, 1994, and August 1, 2006)
- Grade D: 18 to 27 years (born between August 2, 1997, and August 1, 2006)
Application Process:
- Visit the official website at ssc.gov.in.
- Click on the “Register Now” link in the “Login” section and complete the registration.
- Provide personal information including name, parental names, birth date, email, and mobile number.
- Submit the registration form.
- Log in using your registration ID, birth date, and password.
- Upload a scanned photograph and signature.
- Complete Part 2 of the application form with the required details and submit it.

- General and OBC candidates: Rs 100
- SC, ST, PWD, ex-servicemen, and female candidates: Exempted from paying the fee
