
The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially opened the online application process for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2025, inviting applications for the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches, including NCC Special Entry, for courses commencing in July 2026.
Candidates can apply between June 2, 2025 (11:00 AM) and July 1, 2025 (11:30 PM) through the official IAF career websites:

AFCAT 2025 Exam Date
The AFCAT exam 2025 will be conducted in two shifts on August 23 and 24, 2025, with August 25 reserved as a backup day. The AFCAT paper will cover General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, and Military Aptitude.
AFCAT 2025 Application Fee
The AFCAT fee is ₹550 + GST (non-refundable), applicable only for AFCAT entry. NCC Special Entry candidates are exempted from the fee.
AFCAT 2025 Qualification & Eligibility
Age Limit:

Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years (born between July 2, 2002, and July 1, 2006).

Ground Duty Branches: 20 to 26 years (born between July 2, 2000, and July 1, 2006).
Educational Qualification:

Flying Branch: Graduation with 60% marks in any discipline and 50% marks in Physics and Maths in 10+2. B.E/B.Tech also eligible.

Technical Branch: B.E/B.Tech in relevant fields with 60% marks.

Non-Technical Branches: Graduation/Post-Graduation with 60% marks. Specific requirements apply to Admin, Logistics, Accounts, Education, and Meteorology branches.
Note: Final year students can apply provisionally if they meet all criteria and do not have any backlogs.
AFCAT 2025 Salary and Allowances

Pay on Commissioning (Flying Officer): ₹56,100–₹1,77,500 + Military Service Pay ₹15,500.

During training, a stipend of ₹56,100 per month is applicable.

Additional allowances like Flying Allowance, Technical Allowance, and Risk Allowance may be applicable.
