Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro in September, with September 9 emerging as the likely launch date. The expected timing follows Apple's established annual launch cycle and is linked to manufacturing schedules, supply-chain planning and the typical iPhone upgrade cycle.

The company is also expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro Max and an all-new foldable iPhone during its major September event. However, Apple has not officially confirmed the products that will be announced.

iPhone 18 Pro Expected Launch Date

The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to launch in early September, with Wednesday, September 9 being reported as the likely date.

The September window allows Apple's suppliers, including chipmaker TSMC, to prepare for high-volume production well before the devices reach retail stores. It also gives Apple time to move millions of devices to markets around the world ahead of the holiday shopping season.

Apple's annual launch schedule also allows suppliers to plan semiconductor production and reserve manufacturing capacity in advance. Any major change to the established schedule could complicate chip and component supply.

iPhone 18 Pro Expected Price

Rumoured US pricing suggests that the iPhone 18 Pro could start at around $1,099 to $1,299, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max could be priced at approximately $1,299 to $1,499.

Some reports suggest Apple could increase the prices of the Pro models by as much as $200. However, other reports indicate that Apple could absorb higher production costs and keep prices broadly similar to the current-generation iPhones.

These figures remain rumoured and have not been officially confirmed by Apple.

Why September Is Important for Apple's iPhone Launch

Launching the iPhone in September allows Apple to coordinate several parts of its business, including semiconductor production, component supplies, shipping and carrier upgrade programmes.

Mobile carriers frequently use new iPhone launches to promote device upgrades and new contracts. The September launch also arrives around the time many existing customer contracts approach renewal, creating an opportunity for consumers to upgrade.

Apple can also benefit from additional services revenue when customers purchase new iPhones. New device buyers may sign up for services such as Apple Music, Apple TV+, iCloud+ and other subscriptions.

Apple Begins Preparations for September Event

Apple has already started preparations for its major September iPhone event.

The company opened an Event Support Experience Program lottery for US retail employees who are interested in travelling to Apple Park to help with the in-person media event.

Selected employees are expected to assist with organising lines, checking in guests, providing directions, greeting attendees and supporting security teams. Apple is expected to cover their travel and lodging expenses.

Employees could submit entries for the programme until August 8, with Apple planning to inform selected employees about the results on August 17.

While the final product lineup has not been officially confirmed, preparations indicate that Apple is moving ahead with arrangements for its September launch event.
